BIKE-A-THON

GOOOODDDDD MORNING!

Most of you know that I work out a lot and travel to competitions for CrossFit sometimes! :)

Well, for those that do not know for the past 4 years I have participated in the Wodapalooza qualifiers to compete at a competition that is run in Miami, FL in January. In 2015 I went individual in the RX division and met so many awesome people! I loved competing in the sun in January and I had my dad, Grady , Shaina and Alyssa with me the whole time cheering me on! Even Katlyn, a best friend of mine who happened to be at OT school in Fort Lauderdale at this point in time, was able to come watch, YAY! This was my first time ever swimming in open water or competing for three days and it took its toll on me but it was AWESOME!

In 2016 Nicole, Nina and I qualified for TEAM ELITE! What?!?! We never expected that but it was AWESOME! We got to compete along side the games competitors that you see on TV, yes they are PHENOMENAL athletes! It was a crazy weekend and what an experience. That year we had three other athletes compete at Wodapalooza so we took a BIG GROUP and what a blast it was!

In 2017 Maria, Nina and I qualified for TEAM ELITE, again! Finishing the qualifier in 13th place but due to some injuries we were unable to attend Wodapalooza last year and I had told myself that would be my last year. It is not a cheap trip, have to take vacation and HAVE TO stay focused on my nutrition throughout the HOLIDAY season when all you see everywhere is FABULOUS TREATS.

Well.... it is 2018 and Stephanie Brennan somehow convinced me to participate again! We (Steph, Gretchen and myself) qualified for the RX Team Division. So here I go again! Off to Miami in January and I am running a fundraiser to help support my trip!

I am trying to raise 2000$ and be able to donate half if not more to charity by the end of the Bike-A-Thon. I will be completing 1 calorie on the assault bike for every 1$ donated and I will be doing this ALL AT ONE TIME! January 1st I am hoping to be sitting on that bike for A LONG TIME!! :) The donated money will be going back to our community in Harrisonburg, VA.
