PURGING

I love going through my house and purging of all things I do not wear, use or need anymore! I know I am not the only one that loves to do this, right?! If you know me you know that I am an organizational and neat freak. I like to have everything in its place as this tends to keep me more at ease and stress free. I feel like it is something I can control so I try and maintain the this aspect of my life so I never have to worry about it.

However, we all get busy and things slide through the cracks. Well, I had not done a great purge of things in my house for probably 6-7 months and I like to go through my things every 3 months because nobody needs clutter! This past weekend I FINALLY got to purge all my belongings, yay! You have yourself a HAPPY girl here and very organized again! Whoop Whoop! I tend to wear the same things over and over again so why do I need 30 workout tee shirts? And why do I need 25 sports bras? (Disclaimer: I do not know exactly how many items I had but it was TOO MANY!)
I was able to go through my clothes, my bathroom items and my kitchen items this weekend, praise! I am donating a trash bag of items and sadly, a lot of my items were not in good shape so I also had a trash bag of trash. When I finished this a sense of total relief came over me. It had been wayyyyy too long since I had done this and now I finally feel like I am catching up on life things until I travel the next two weekends, haha!

Am I the only one like this or do others purge this regularly and feel such a sense of accomplishment/relief when you feel like you could walk into your home and, with your eyes closed, find what you need? Isn't that just an awesome feeling? No I do not have kids or pets so I do not have any of those additional responsibilities coming behind me and messing up my organization!
I hope you all had a weekend full of accomplishments and awesomeness! This coming weekend I get to watch my brother complete his first FULL MARATHON as he is taking on the Marine Corp Marathon, GO GRADY! Somehow I got volunteered to run the last few miles with him to finish it out STRONG! Cannot wait to cheer him on as he checks off another bucket list item!
